Sense of Direction

Your sense of direction isn’t what it used to be.
That’s why God invented GPS. And before GPS, there was the compass – a handy, handheld tool of directional comfort. Which comes in extra handy when you need to be pointed towards La Bussola Restaurant, for some Antiguan-Italian comfort food.
The menu at this pretty diner is eclectic, but maintains classic, and expert, Italian fare. What that means to you is: lasagna with homemade pasta sheets, traditional eggplant parmesan, and braised veal, all served under bleached wood ceilings in a jazzy beachfront bistro and tucked away on Runaway Bay. Grab your plus-one and head to this intimate eatery (you’re surrounded by photos of ‘old Antigua’, and if the colourful plates don’t do you in, you can always count on some undercover sexy time in one of their shaded gazebos – just don’t get caught).
Once you’ve worked up your appetite, you’ll want to start with the Tortino ai funghi con letto di crema di formaggi – literally translated to a mushroom cake in hot creamy cheese sauce. Move on to the lamb cutlets, grilled with Italian extra virgin olive oil and garlic, then your dessert of Bavarian strawberry mousse with vanilla and chocolate sauce. The complimentary grappa, Frangelico or limoncello (representing northern, central and southern Italy) afterwards helps with the whole direction thing too.
The chocolate sauce helps with the plus-one thing. But you probably already thought of that.
