Konnectives... to the World

Posted by The Editor on Mon, Jan 25th 2010, 10:36

If you want to be taken seriously in this entertainment industry, it helps to have engaging sobriquets, like:  Slashachappz, DJ Crack, Sonex and Danger X.  Nothing says you're 'hard' like a few X's or street references in your name.

Learning that lesson well is Jamaican group Konnectives, whose slow start in the industry is teaching them a whole lot about positioning.  The close friends are also learning that sponsorship, rather than friendship, will take you and never bring you back - since their experiences center around the group's abundant talent and unfortunate lack of funds.  But they have determination, and that's a start.
