Jamaica Jazz Fest Ready...

Jamaica Jazz Fest Ready...

Posted by The Editor on Sat, Jan 23rd 2010, 02:25

Trelawny, get excited:  the 14th staging of the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival is going to be at the Greenfield Stadium.  From January 28 to 30, the festival will grace the Jamaican parish for the first time in its history.

And already the demands from overseas patrons have been flowing in; so much so that the event has been expanded to a one-week affair, with pre-shows carded for Ocho Rios, Montego Bay and Kingston.  Take your cue from the festival's Executive Producer, Walter Elmore, who is currently beside himself with excitement.  "The venue has a wonderful ambiance all by itself.  The view from here is spectular of the north coast of Jamaica, and Falmouth, and you can see them building the new cruise ship pier."

And if ongoing construction doesn't tickle your nether regions, patrons can look forward to tons of energetic performances and other delights of the non-hard hat variety (think:  Babyface, Maxi Priest and Erykah Badu, to name a few).
