Masqueraders will take to the streets to showcase individual craftsmanship and flair, as they play a part in the opening parade and official ceremony of Dominica’s Carnival - themed ‘The Real Mas’ 2010.  From as early as 3:00 pm, Carnival characters and spectators from across the country are expected to converge on Victoria Street in Roseau, to trek to the Pottersville Savannah via a procession along the Dame Eugenia Charles Boulevard.

Present to address the crowd at the official opening ceremony will be Ministers of Government, as well as officials from the Carnival Development Committee.  The ceremony begins at 6:30 pm.
