Bollywood Comes to Trinidad

Posted by The Editor on Thu, Jan 21st 2010, 09:23

A blockbuster Bollywood film was shot in Trinidad and Tobago - just as if the gods knew we needed something else to get excited for.

Dulha Mil Gaya (translation:  'Found a Groom') stars Indian mega star Shah Rukh Khan and former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen, and was producer Anthony Maharaj's foray into Bollywood films since his specialty has always been American action movies.  Dulha Mil Gaya has the right combination of great music, a funny story line and big stars, according to Maharaj - who has an emotional attachment to the film since his parents were responsible for the distribution of Hindi films in this region since the 1940s (he might just be a big softy).  The movie premiered last night at MovieTowne, Trinidad.
